Thanks to the leadership for the opportunity to kick-off your strat planning with a session on Resilience. This is the ability to deal with, recover, and grow from adversity. In an organization, adversity presents itself as an ‘out-of-process’ event, a problem for which a process is undefined. Build resilience in people so that they step up to solve ‘out of process’ events, and push the organization forward. How do you build resilience? By enhancing resilience fillers - Purpose, Optimism, Mental Agility, Self-Control, and Social Support. And, by managing resilience drainers - Resources, Relationships, Autonomy, Work Conditions, Job Security, and Workload.
